Welcome to BAR-TIME DEBRIEF (bartimedebrief.com). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, newsletters, event ticketing services, and digital media.

By accessing bartimedebrief.com or registering for our events, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.

1. About Bar-Time Debrief

BAR-TIME DEBRIEF organizes intellectual town-hall discussions, media programming, and community debriefs hosted primarily across third-party social venues, bars, and cafes. While our gatherings frequently take place in public venues that serve refreshments, BAR-TIME DEBRIEF does not sell, encourage, or serve alcohol.

2. Digital Services & Third-Party Embeds

Our website provides information on upcoming events, newsletter subscriptions, embedded social media content (including Instagram), media links, and external forms (such as Google Forms or calendar integrations).

Hosted Platform: bartimedebrief.com is hosted on and powered by the Frontdesk.app ecosystem.
Third-Party Platforms: Our external media (podcasts, videos, audio programs) are published across third-party platforms including Spotify, YouTube, and Substack. Your interactions with embedded third-party content are governed by those respective platforms' policies.

3. Event Registrations, Ticketing & Cancellations

Purchases: Event tickets and RSVPs are processed via integrated payment providers (including Paystack, Stripe, and direct bank transfers).
Cancellation & Refund Policy: Unless specifically stated otherwise on an individual event purchasing page, ticket cancellations must be requested by emailing willie@bartimedebrief.com at least seven (7) full days prior to the scheduled event date to be eligible for a refund. Refund requests made less than 7 days prior to an event are non-refundable, except at the sole discretion of BAR-TIME DEBRIEF.

4. Venue Liability Waiver

By attending a physical BAR-TIME DEBRIEF event:

You acknowledge that events take place at third-party commercial venues (such as bars, restaurants, or cafes). BAR-TIME DEBRIEF does not own, operate, or control these premises.
You voluntarily assume all risks associated with attending events at third-party venues. BAR-TIME DEBRIEF, its founders, team members, and partners are not liable for personal injury, property loss, or damage occurring on host premises, except where required by applicable law.

5. Media Release (Event Photography & Recording)

By attending a BAR-TIME DEBRIEF physical event, you acknowledge and agree that BAR-TIME DEBRIEF may capture photographs, audio, and video recordings of the event. BAR-TIME DEBRIEF reserves the right to use such media in event highlights, website galleries, promotional materials, and social channels. If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform an event coordinator upon arrival or email us in advance.

6. User Submissions & Featured Profiles

Showcase Profiles: Where users explicitly submit personal or professional information to be featured or showcased on bartimedebrief.com, all submissions undergo an internal review and approval process prior to publication.
Opt-Out & Removal: If you have submitted a profile for a showcase feature and wish to update or remove your profile from the website, you may request removal at any time by contacting willie@bartimedebrief.com.

7. Intellectual Property

All original content, graphics, event banners, text, logos, and media on bartimedebrief.com are the property of BAR-TIME DEBRIEF unless otherwise attributed. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify our materials without prior written consent.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
